Mashing up an avocado and plastering it all over my hair and face only to resemble some kind of swamp monster really does not appeal to me at all, I find the idea absurd simply because eating it tastes so good and using it as anything other than food to me is a waste! Despite my thoughts on this, avocados do hold over 20 beneficial nutrients many of which are essential for health and beauty and there are hundreds of recipes for hair and face masks that definitely would have a positive effect. Surely though, beauty starts from the inside out and eating the fruit ranked by ‘The Guinness Book of Records’ as the most nutritious in the world would in fact have the same effect as smearing it on your hair and face.
Avocados are so versatile so try and incorporate them in your daily diet and look out for the following benefits:
1.The natural good fat content in the fruit will help keep hair soft and hydrate dryness.
2.They contain a high amount of Vitamin E making them great for dry skin and can even help stubborn skin problems such as Eczema.
3.The oil found in Avocados also has natural sunscreen properties and can enhance the ability of products used to protect the skin hair from UVA and UVB rays.
4.They are also a source of Glutathione which is an antioxidant known to help prevent signs of aging.
5.They are also a nutritious and filling snack that will help you resist gorging on other less healthy alternatives and can therefore assist in the weight loss process.
As well as beauty benefits they do also contain many essential nutrients for our health so whatever you are planning to eat for your next meal try and include half an avocado and see if the ‘you are what you eat’ theory really does work!

I have sensitive skin so most cleansers can sting but this one doesn't it leave my face felling quite hydrated even before I use a moisturiser
