The Beauty Bible team and our other favourite gorgeous girlies reveal a few of our favourites and must-haves from our makeup bags…

Gracie Stewart, Editorial Assistant
My makeup bag is currently over flowing it needs a huge clean out! The products I use daily are:
Napoleon Auto Pilot Pre Foundation Skin Primer: I would be lost without this stuff, it makes any foundation that much easier to apply and helps it stay on longer.
M.A.C Mineralize Satin Finish Foundation: This is one of the most natural looking foundations I have ever used which is great as I’m all about the au -naturale look.
Billion Dollar Brows Brow Gel and powder: You wouldn’t leave the house without doing your hair so why leave without doing your brows? This is one of those products you think you don’t need until you try it - then you’re hooked. You can get this product from OFF WAX.
Bobbi Brown Creamy Eye Pencil in Jet: You can never go wrong with black eyeliner, I’m actually considering getting it tattooed on!
Napoleon Madame Curl Curl Mascara: This little gem really gets your lashes fluttering.
Napoleon Baked Powder Set in English Pink: I love using this on my cheeks to give me that summer glow.

In case you couldn’t tell I’m a bit of a Napoleon girl!

My makeup bag is in dire need of sorting out – it has a whole lot of stuff I have outgrown. That is, I used to wear dark lipstick, but tend not to wear much these days. Funny – when I was young I tried to look older, and now of course I try to look younger!

L’Oreal Glam Shine Glosses – Amazing, they make your lips look so plump.
Jane Iredale Lip Glosses – Addicted to these. The depth and colour intensity and shine is just gorgeous.
Chanel Single Eyeshadow in Ombre – This colour is dark chocolate with a hint of shimmer and is just divine. It lasts forever. I only half used mine and it’s about 7 years old… Yes, I know, it’s probably too old, but what I am trying to say is it is worth the investment.
Shiseido Teint Lift Foundation – This is the best foundation I have ever used. It would never have been picked for me because it is for dry/mature skin of which I am technically neither, but I love a dewy hydrated finish and I get compliments every time I wear this.
Mascaras – I am on a constant search for the perfect one. At the moment I alternate between Nutrimetics (gives me a full fan lash look), L’Oreal Telescopic – gives me long lashes and Rimmel Glam Eyes – gives me fat lashes.
Eyeliners – I am totally addicted to eyeliner. To quote Catherine Zeta Jones “My eyes are like pissholes in the snow” so I feel nude without some high def. I have a Revlon Navy eyeliner that I love and I MUST go back and buy the Chanel Wet/Dry eyeliner… It’s super amazing! Sets until you take it off so you can get a really sexy liquid eyeliner look.

My makeup bag is not so much a bag as a suitcase he he

BareMinerals Prime Time – This is a totally flawless primer!
Maybelline Dream Liquid – This has the best staying put power of any liquid foundation and I have tried some of the expensive ones and they don’t even come close.
Colorevolution Mineral Foundation - This foundation is never cakey and fabulous coverage pot seems to go on forever.
Bobbi Brown Balm Face Rinse – Oh I could go on for pages about this stuff apart from smelling like freshly squeezed oranges after cleansing with your normal cleanser apply to your face and massage in then rinse off with warm water. It just makes your skin feel fresh and not stripped of all the natural oils your skin normally produces.
Estee Lauder Sumptuous waterproof Mascara – On the eternal quest for the best mascara that stays put, thickens and lengthens? Then you have reached the Holy Grail, this stuff is the SHIZZLE!!!!!
Last but by no means least…
Lanolips Lip Ointment in Dark Honey - As I have got older I have totally given up on lipstick and hate that slippery feeling of lipglosses. Most of all I hate the ones that leave your lips needing more so they feel worse than when you started trying to treat them. This is quality medical grade lip ointment with almond oil, shea butter and beeswax to name a few ingredients but with a touch of colour that perfectly matches my natural lip colour. BRILLIANT stuff!

I like to get things done quickly and efficiently so my make up bag consists of products that are easy to use and/or kill two birds with one stone, ie, do two things at once. I am currently trying the new Revlon Complexion One-Step Compact foundation, teamed with Bad Gal Lash by Benefit (super thick brush makes my stumpy little lashes thick and full), Napoleon Cheek to Chic Blush Duo (perfect for an overall bronze and pop of colour on my cheeks) and YSL Touch Eclat Illuminator and Concealer (enough said).

Smashbox Primer – nothing could be better and I don’t think I would ever switch brands.
Lancôme Foundation & Brush – this is my favourite foundation brand – texture, fragrance, the lot.
Smashbox Blusher – I change from stick blusher to o-glow according to my mood and how ‘fresh’ I am looking that day. I’m a bit of a blusher slut to be honest – don’t mind what I use.
Lancôme lip pencil - beautiful smooth blendable texture
Lancôme and M.A.C lipsticks and gloss – for beautiful moist texture (I get dry lips) and strong colour statements - be they neutral or bolder.
M.A.C eyecolour – I’m building a palette in a proper M.A.C paint box and it is one of my treasures. Colour according to mood!
Lancôme eyepencil – beautiful smooth texture as above, and blends nicely too.
Lancôme mascara – the flash oscillating one!
Phoenix Translucent Powder – interesting because unlike most it has NO colour so you don’t risk an unwanted layered look.
