Initially, I was completely skeptical about this colour trend — mainly because I associate orange with traffic cones and other safety hazard alerts. But, to my surprise, the right colour of orange can perk up your entire face, adding some summery warmth to an otherwise dull and pale winter complexion.

My favorite example of this power shade was on the Proenza Schouler’s runway; I love the bold lipstick with slightly messy, sex hair. It seems that Chloe Sevigny is also a fan, it’s not often she is seen without the vivid hue. In this picture she is rocking MAC Lipstick in Lady Danger while leaving the rest of her face relatively bare. This is a must do when trying to pull of bright orange, the only other thing you need is lashings of black mascara.
