1) This year we will: Leave pimples alone
The skin is a sensitive wee madam really. So when she gets emo as a result of you being hormonal, overworked, stressed out - or eating and drinking too much of things you shouldn’t eat or drink too much of - she’ll often throw some pimples your way to punish you. But the worst thing you can do is pick at them, squeeze them, stick needles in them or whatever else gives you momentary satisfaction but can leave your skin scarred and traumatized. So this is the year we leave our pimples alone!

2) This year we will: Face mask once a week
We often hear busy women complain that they do not have the time to use face masks. To that we say – make the time! It’s not compulsory to lie there and do nothing while you treat your skin. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with wearing a mask while cooking, watching TV or typing, but masks do everything right to treat your skin condition. Get one that best suits your needs and make it a weekly ritual this year. Your skin will thank you for it.

3) This year we will: Moisturise our bodies
Funny thing – we bet you moisturise your face morning and night, but rarely treat the skin on your body to the same luxury. It doesn’t make much sense does it? If you don’t have time in the morning, make it a regular night time treat to invest in a light lotion or body oil to rub on before bed. This will help keep you soft and smooth as well as maintain a youthful looking body to match your beautiful face.

4) This year we will: Dry body brush daily
Dry body brushing is one of those things that seems like a major hassle until you start doing it every day and then it becomes a force of habit. But we kid you not; this is one of the best beauty habits you can adopt. 9) This year we will: Exercise more
There are so many benefits to a healthy amount of exercising – say at least 30 minutes each day. A walk in the park or along the beach with your bestie tones your bod while it revitalizes your soul. If you go a step further and work up a real sweat you will assist your body to detoxify through your skin and the result is a gorgeous glow – naturally. Exercise also helps to de-stress and balance hormonal issues so you feel better… and when you feel better, you look better.

10) This year we will: Get out of a beauty rut
