Product Love: Weleda Sea Buckthorn Hand Cream

I never thought I’d admit it, but I love gardening! Honestly, there’s nothing more satisfying than standing back and admiring what you’ve achieved. One aspect I’m not so thrilled about  though is the way it leaves my hands looking AND feeling!

I always wear gardening gloves but after my hands have been cooped up all day they start to resemble dried up old prunes! Trust me, I’m not exaggerating!  It’s as if every single drop of moisture has been sucked out of them and I’m sure the whole neighbourhood can hear their cries of help!

After every gardening session I treat myself and my hands to a mini home manicure so what better time to try out Weleda’s Sea Buckthorn Hand Cream.

Our hands reveal our secrets, namely our age and what sort of life we have been leading.  Weleda’s Sea Buckthorn Hand Cream is just like a best friend who protects and safe guards our deepest and darkest secrets.  It protects hands reliably from moisture loss and restores rough and stressed skin.

The hero ingredient, Sea Buckthorn Oil, is extracted from the pulp and the kernel of sea buckthorn berries.  These golden-red berries contain a unique combination of antioxidant vitamins A, C and E, flavanoids and essential fatty acids, (omega 3, 6, 7) which are easily absorbed and provide intensive care and replenishment to the skin.  These nutrients help regenerate and protect the skin from UV radiation and free-radical damage.

What I really liked about this hand cream was how rapidly it absorbed into my skin and it didn’t leave an oily residue after I applied it.   I’m not really a fan of strongly fragranced beauty products either and found it to be quite pleasant. Not to strong thank goodness!
