Kate McGahan gets you up to speed with the latest and greatest new beauty releases...

Viva La Juicy is the latest offering from Juicy Couture ( yes - the creator of fetching, matching, brightly coloured velour tracksuits).
Made from a delectable mix of mandarin orange, wild berries and honeysuckle with bottom notes of vanilla and patcholi, this perfume is really all about being flirty and having fun. It’s as though they have captured the essence of a twelve year old girl and bottles it, but added a drop of couture and glammed it up - making it perfect for a woman of any age.
Just like all Juicy fragrances, it is boldly bottled, dangled with Juicy charms and finished off with a fuchsia bow for a girly elegance that looks fab on your dressing table.RRP: $155.00 for 100ml, $110.00 for 50ml
M.A.C Blond/Redhead/Brunette collection

Just when we thought M.A.C couldn’t get any better, they went and made shopping for makeup even easier! The Blond/Brunette/Redhead collections are designed to work with, and play up to the most powerful accessory a girl has – her hair. You can pick up a whole collection, from lippy and eye shadow to kohl pencils and blush that are specially designed to work with your hair colour. RRP: $30.00 - $58.00.
While you are picking up the items that perfectly match your hair colour, make sure you check out the brand new M.A.C Studio Sculpt Foundation SPF 15 that landed on counter this week.

This is a fabulous multi-tasker as it gives you the ability to create a number of different finishes – something you don’t usually get with a foundation. Mix it with moisturiser for sheer coverage, finish with powder for a matte look, or use it alone and watch it emphasise your skins natural sheen and highlights. A little goes a long away. RRP: $70.00. P.s the Studio Sculpt Concealer is fabulous too and there is nothing it won't cover. RRP:$40.00
Trilogy Eye Contour Cream

One of my beauty must haves is a great eye cream that does not sting my contact lenses and works hard at its job.
Trilogy has re-formulated their already amazing Eye Contour Cream so it now contains the proven anti-ageing benefits of Retinol Vitamin A. Harnessing all the benefits of it original formula it combines Aloe Vera, Organic Rosehip oil, carrot oil and Vitamin E to assist skin repair and renewal, while the Retinol, avocado, evening primrose and jojoba oil get to work on softening and smoothing fine lines. As per usual the formula feels great, absorbs fast and smells lovely.
What I love most about Trilogy products is that you know you can trust them. Trilogy products regularly win beauty awards all over the world and are fabulous for people with even the most sensitive skin. RRP:$45.90
The Herb Farm Aloe Vera Rescue Gel

Along with the glorious summer sunshine comes a few nasties. Think insect bites, painful sunburn and shaving rash or nicks that occur in our haste to get to the beach.
Herb Farms Aloe Vera Rescue Gel is 100% natural – and it packed full of healing ingredients like Aloe which is perfect for soothing sunburn, Calendula Oil which softens and heals damaged skin, Lavender oil which provides antiseptic, healing and calming properties to the skin and Lemon oil which combines astringent and healing relief to the skin with a fresh uplifting effect.
I keep one pot at home and the other in my car so it’s at the ready whenever I need it! This is definitely Mother Nature at her best. RRP:$22.70
Fudge Head Bath

Here lies a treatment that actually works and takes less time than making a cup of coffee.
Head Bath is the latest release from Fudge - a hydrating moisture masque that literally transforms dry and damaged hair in just two minutes.
Thanks to all the sun and salt water I have been exposing my locks to this summer its goes without saying it was a little worse for wear. Head Bath nourished and deeply conditioned my hair leaving it super soft and shiny. The rich blend of passionflower, vanilla and freesia means it almost smells good enough to eat! RRP:$23.00
Joico Skin Luxe Golden Shimmer

Joico has always been a trusted name in haircare - and now they have taken it one step further with the release of an exclusive, limited edition gradual self tanner. I have to admit at first I was skeptical about a haircare company branching in to body products – but Joico has done good!
The formula contains a golden shimmer for instant pretty skin and smells like coconut oil – perfect for pretending you are poolside in Fiji rather than sitting in your office playing solitaire and the self tanning lotions builds an even, natural looking tan. After about three applications the comments were coming in droves and not a single person suspected the colour was faux. RRP$28.00
System Professional Hydro Milk

I have ALWAYS been a dedicated conditioner girl. I couldn't get enough of the stuff - that is, until Jock Robson of Dharma Salon introduced me to the System Professional Hydro Milk at a gorgeous beauty launch late last year. Where as my old hair washing routine used to involve shampoo and lashings of luxe conditioner, it now involves a quick shampoo, some blotting (not rubbing) with a towel and then a few sprays of the Hydro Milk before I blow dry. I am finding this system means I don't have to wash my hair as often as it very seldom gets oily, my hair is in wonderful condition and I don't need to spend as long on the shower. RRP:$31.00. P.s totally recommend the System Professional Hydro Shampoo too! RRP$31.00
Naked Nails - guest review by J et'aime Hayr of Gloss
being the low maintenance chick that I am, pedicures and manicures are fairly non existent treats and my home-done jobs can leave a lot to be desired. Lazy nail polish applications had left my toe nails looking rather stained and yellow, not pretty at all! Then Scholl Perfect Nails landed on my desk and gave me the perfect opportunity to clean up my scraggly nails. The easy 3-step treatment produces an instant result – who doesn’t love immediate beauty satisfaction?!
1) File the nail gently to reduce discoloration.
2) Condition with the gel and leave to dry.
3) Paint the nail with the Nail Brightener to prevent further staining.
For the fourth step – admire your fresh healthy nails.
Just once a week will keep your natural nails looking gorgeous – who needs polish with nails that look this good?
Scholl Perfect Nails costs $24.99 and is available from pharmacies.
