The Missoni Spring/Summer 2012 collection was revealed in Milan on September 25, 2011, and for the first time the runway models wore Minx on their nails for a superb head-to-toe look.

Marian Newman, a veteran of runway shows, worked with Minx co-founder Janice Jordan to create “impressions” of the fabric Missoni would be using in the new collection.  

“I sat with Janice while we opened the references, and after discussing some ideas, eventually decided to create gentle fades of the exact colours with a slight distortion - rather like a Bakewell tart,” explained Marian.  

“Janice then began designing this interpretation, using the three color collections of blue, yellow and red, but decided to make them translucent to allow a MinxLusion base,” said Marian.    
 
MinxLusion is the exclusive prismatic, shimmery silver color that is achievable in nail fashion only by Minx, and was a perfect complement to the iridescence running throughout the rich fabrics of the Missoni collection.  
 




















Minx co-founder Dawn Lynch-Goodwin assisted Marian’s team backstage as they applied a MinxLusion base and the corresponding top coating of Minx to the 37 models who walked the outside courtyard of the Universita Statale di Milano.
