Fresh back from Milan Fashion Week, we caught up with M.A.C's Amber D who detailed her top five products for us - AND how to use them...
Amber Dreadon is a M·A·C Senior Artist- she has worked backstage at fashion weeks all over the world, done piles of editorial work, and even worked on the Kanye West and Missy Elliot tours - so if anyone knows makeup, it's Amber D - check out her top five products:
M.A.C Studio Sculpt SPF15 foundation

Studio Sculpt foundation has Super Bark extract which gives the skin a lifting firming effect so it’s great on skin that’s not as firm as it once might have been!! I am loving the way it looks on the skin when mixed with a drop of MAC Strobe liquid – luminous and glowing but still ultra-flawless.
M.A.C Pearl cream colour base

A luminescent cream that looks incredible lightly worked over the highest points of the face - think eyelids, brow bone + cheekbones. Works on all skin tones and was an essential item at the S/S 09 shows and again at the autumn collections!
M.A.C Fix+ spray

So addictive and has so many great uses! The key ingredients of caffeine, green tea and cucumber refresh, soothe and enliven the skin. I love to generously mist the skin before I moisturise for the most well prepared and moist skin possible before applying foundation and makeup. It’s also an essential in my handbag to refresh throughout the day whether the weather is humid and muggy or dry and cold!
M.A.C #20 lashes

Such a great way to pump up your lashes without the usual terror of gluing your eyes closed attempting to apply a full set of falsies! The #20 lash is made of a fine natural hair that is about half the length of the eyelid and starts a natural length then gets longer toward the outer corner of the eye so lashes look longer without looking fake! Every time I wear them I get asked if "those are your real lashes?"
M.A.C Blacktrack Fluidline

So essential in my kit I need to keep three just in case! Gel based and waterproof, this longwearing liner is a total essential for both backstage and at home! I love to use the Blacktrack Fluidline with the M.A.C #209 eyeliner brush and push it along the lash line – as close into the lash line as possible to give the eyes definition and to also to make the lashes appear longer!
Backstage: Fluidline is used to create everything from perfect 20’s inspired eyeliner to dark blown-out perfectly black smoky eyes….definitely a “what did we ever do without it?” product.
