Renya Xydis for ghd created the sleek ponytail with an edgy sharp fringe for Kirrily Johnston’s RAFW show.

“For this show, we kept the hair quite raw with a ponytail and then created a beautiful sharp, architectural fringe over one eye.”

Kirrily Johnston says:  “Our SS11/12 collection “Habitat” is about contrasting elements.  After discussing this concept with the wonderful Renya Xydis we came up with the look for the show: long, neat ponytails with strong architecturally cut fringes in contrasting hair shades. Its fashion forward, but still compliments the range.

Since the look will be very sleek, we’ll be using the new ghd Gold Series stylers to make sure the look is perfect.”

HOW TO RECREATE THE LOOK:
1. Prep the hair with ghd Miracle Mist and blow dry in with a ghd Ceramic Vented Radial Brush.

2. Using the ghd Gold Classic styler, (or ghd Gold Max styler for longer hair) smooth out each section of the hair, then pull it up into a tight, high ponytail and secure with hat elastic.

3. For this look, hair wefts were glued back on the head at the top of the ponytail to create the fringe. Pull the fringe over the eyes and smooth out with a ghd styler.

4. Cut the fringe in a sharp, diagonal line across the face.

5. Finish with ghd Ultimate Hairspray for extra hold.
