Dark dye job too dark?

Oops! You tried to go Posh Spice brown, but ended up with Marilyn Manson black instead - how to lighten up a very dark dye job...

Most dandruff shampoos work wonders lightening up dye jobs that have gone a little too dark for your complexion - wash your hair with a dandruff shampoo two or three times until you get the colour you ACTUALLY wanted.

Alternatively, mixing a teaspoon of baking soda in with your shampoo can help the colour to fade faster.

This always happens to me so thanks for the tips! I often buy a colour a couple of shades lighter than I intend on going just to take into account the fact it'll probably end up darker anyway ;o)
