Wondering how to heat up your style for winter? Think no further than effortlessly soft, glamorous curls. Whether it’s the long bob or messy bed-head, we asked the team at Remington for some tips.

The trend this season is for sexy, loose curls that look both natural and effortless. Not only is it a more convenient look, as curling can be done quickly and with minimum effort, but it’s bang on trend too. You don’t need your own stylist to achieve the latest looks, here’s how you can use Remington’s curling tools to create cascading curls in no tim

Look One:  Carey Mulligan's grown out crop

Perfect for use on shorter styles, the Express Set 10 (RRP $49.95) set of hot rollers features ten individual rollers in two sizes. Simply take small sections of hair and wrap around the velvety soft rollers, securing with a clip or pin. Leave to cool and voilà – curls in minutes! Stylist’s tip: use rollers through the centre part to create volume in your style.

Look 2: Florence Welch's ringlets
The epitome of cool, this sexy style is easy to create with one of the most versatile tools in the range, Curls, Curls, Curls (RRP $59.95). Simply section hair and wrap around one of the two interchangeable barrels – use 19mm for tight ringlets and 32mm for larger curls. Stylist’s tip: curl from about three inches from your head and interchange each section with a different sized barrel for a more natural look.

Look 3: Lauren Conrad's glamorous waves
This voluminously soft and smooth style is achieved with the Remington Hot Brush (RRP $79.95). The 45mm heated ceramic barrel brush can be used on dry hair – simply wrap around the barrel, hold for a few minutes and release, dropping cascading curls instantly. Stylist’s tip: great for travel, this works in just the same way as a hairdryer and thermal volumising brush – minus the need for a dryer.

Look 4: Rihanna's 80s afro

While not necessarily an everyday look, the 80s perm or ‘afro’ has been seeing a comeback of late. What better way to achieve this retro style than with the ultimate 80s tool, the Crimptini (RRP $29.95)– Remington’s pocket sized version of the once-famous styler. Stylist’s tip: for a modern take on the afro, crimp small sections of hair to create texture all over or use at the roots to add body throughout.

Don’t forget you can use your straightener to create curls of any kind too. Remington’s Hot Pink styler (RRP $99.95) has been specifically designed with rounded edges on its ceramic plates and ridges on the housing, to guide hair through smoothly. Simply twist hair around the barrel and move down through your hair – the slower you go, the tighter the curl will be.

i love the grown out crop but short hair just doesn't suit my face. I also love the glamourous waves! I need to grow my hair abit to get that lovely look!

I love the curls! I have dead straight hair, but I've never been sure about curling it cause it's quite short. The curled grown out crop is so pretty though!
