Some of us girls love a lot of colour; some of us are too scared to use it and some of us have to be a little more conservative because of our jobs. Here are a couple of ideas to bring some colour into your life without feeling over powered (or getting in trouble with your boss!)

Remember the key words: Less is more!

The eyes have it!
Bring a little colour into your neutral look by grabbing a bright coloured eyeliner. Or if you don’t have the cash, just use an eye shadow and liner brush.  By lining just the top or just the bottom of your eye you can create that pop without it being too in-your-face. Even a little colour in the outer or inner corner of your eye or a little coloured mascara can be all you need to brighten up your day!

Hot lips!
Bright lips are always on trend. It’s just a matter of wearing them correctly and remembering that a bright lip can require a fair bit of maintenance throughout the day. Before even contemplating putting colour on your lips, exfoliate using an old toothbrush or lip scrub the night before and apply lots of lip balm for lusciously smooth lips in the morning.

Use a matching lip liner and don’t only outline your lips, but fill them in entirely. This will not only help your colour last longer but will prevent that annoying line around your mouth when the lipstick wears off.

And finally, after applying the lip colour, blot it with a tissue. This will help remove any unnecessary excess colour and will prevent it bleeding into any fine lines and smudging onto your teeth.

Statement piece!
A simple colourful accessory can brighten up any outfit instantly! A belt or piece of jewellery is all you need. If your workplace allows it, even a little nail polish can be all you need! Although if you go down this route, make sure that you keep them neat and professional. Chipped nails are not a good look, especially when the bright colour is the focal point.
