Amanda Jones is a comms girl, beauty junkie and one of BeautyBible’s newest contributors.

This week she shares with us what’s in her makeup bag and reveals some of her beauty secrets and cosmetic treats.

Q: If we were to tip out the contents of your makeup bag what would we find?
Too much I can tell you! I’m fascinated whenever a new product is out - I simply have to try it. But I would always have a good primer, concealer, foundation, illuminator, loose powder, and bronzer. I hardly ever use eye makeup and for me it’s all about flawless, gorgeous skin.

Q: What are the beauty products you always carry in your handbag?
Concealer, bronzer and chap stick.

Q: What is your fail-safe makeup look?
A luminous foundation, at the moment I love NARS Sheer Glow, a dust of bronzer and a bold lip. I’m loving coral at the moment or you can never go wrong with good old fashioned red lip.  
 
Q: What is your all-time favourite beauty product?
The Pureology Haircare range, it really has done wonders for my hair.

Q: Lipstick or lipgloss?
Both! I tend to wear lip gloss during the day so I can apply it quickly at my desk without looking, and then lipstick for the evenings or special occasions to make more of a statement.

Q: Tell me about your skincare routine?
I have a very particular routine which I stick to no matter the time or how I feel!

I like to use the Nimue Skin Technology range on my face. So in the morning I wash my face with the cleansing gel, followed by the exfoliating enzyme which is a non abrasive gel based exfoliater, I tone with the conditioning tonic and apply moisturiser with sunscreen in.

I almost do the same routine at night but without the exfoliating, and I put on night and eye cream before bed.

I apply a facemask once a week and also moisturise my whole body in the morning with Vaseline Aloe Fresh Lotion with SPF15, as it protects my whole body ready for the day ahead.
 
Do you have any secret beauty tips you can share?
It may no longer be a secret, as it seems to be catching on quickly, but semi permanent false lashes.

I get my lashes enhanced every three weeks with individual lashes slightly longer then my natural lash. This means I no longer use mascara, at all, and have long luscious lashes whether I’ve just woken up - or am dashing down to the supermarket!

The false lash is attached to your real lash so it simply falls out with your lash cycle which is around three weeks - when you would then top them up again.
 
Q: What has been your biggest beauty blunder?
‘Sun-In’ through my hair as a 12 year old. My hair was yellow and it destroyed it completely to the point of too much falling out!
 
Q: What are your five biggest beauty indulgences?
Go 30 Nails, facials, St Moritz tanning mouse, body scrubs and hair masks.
