Ashlee Kellett is a makeup artist and hair stylist and runs her own company working throughout New Zealand making people beautiful. We chatted to her and stole some of her fabulous beauty tips…
What is your number one beauty tip?
Tint your eyebrows and eyelashes! Even better get eyelash extensions. Not only will it enhance your natural beauty, you'll feel more confident
Your "weird but works" beauty tip?
You know the 'gunky stuff' round the lip of your foundation that actually can be used as a thick concealer. Dab it under the eye or on trouble spots and tada, perfecto.
Your biggest beauty blunder?
TOO much fake tan on the face! I looked like an umpalumpa for three days while I tried to scrub it raw, still… you have to try them all to see which one works the best for your own skin tone. Thankfully I got mine right on the second attempt. (L'Oreal is a brand I highly recommend!)
Your top 5 products?
Ultraceuticals Uneven Skintone serum
Mac primer with SPF 50+
Lancôme Hypnose Mascara
Almond oil and Cetaphyll for cleansers
Eye drops - look for ones with the ingredient Naphazoline. Takes away all redness.
We have two minutes to put our face on in the morning - what should we do?
Firstly run for the bathroom!! Grab your 30+ Sun block, or even better… use a tinted moisturiser with SPF 30+.
Next, bronze up your cheekbones with a slight swirl of the brush to give you that sun kissed look - you can also brush over your eyelids quickly with the same brush to add a bit more colour, but be careful not to over do it - less is more.
Now for the lippy - whatever colour/gloss you desire, apply it and then smile at the goddess you've created!
Your top 5 indulgences?
Omnilux Revive treatments
Weekly Spray tans
Manicures and pedicures – they make all the difference
My fabulous hairdresser who does stunning colours, styles and treatments.
And of course, shopping!
Your favourite, never fail beauty look?
A stunning red lippy and dark, thick, black eyelashes. Works wonders throughout the day as well as miracles during the evenings!
Your top hair tip?
Always carry a mini hairspray with you to combat those fly-aways and keep hair smooth for the entire day. Just because it looks great when you leave the bathroom doesn't necessarily mean it will look great at lunch.
What do you love about working in the beauty industry
The people! Every day I meet amazing people, from the brides to the beauty editors (Kate for example!). Everyone is always kind and caring and the one thing that no girl can resist talking about is makeup so there is always plenty to talk about!

I loved the idea of moisturising while showering! I simply slather this into my skin before hopping into the shower and...
