Restoring balance - Lisa Stone on combination skin and how to deal with it...
I know that we are still having some great weather but it feels to me anyway that the temperature is dropping and it’s darker later in the mornings and earlier in the evenings. It’s a shame because I just love summer and I was saying to Steve ( my husband) just today that I really am not looking forward to winter
Still, you can’t change it and it does make us appreciate spring and summer all the more! As we head in to full blown Autumn I will let you know about some amazing products that I have that are great for that time of year – a bit like a detox for the skin!
And talking about skin, I know I got a bit off the track last week so here is as promised a bit of a run down on combination skin….
Combination skin, especially in the 20 –35 year old age group, is the most common. It characterises itself in a variety of ways. You may experience an oily T-zone and dryness, dehydration or even normal skin on the rest of the face and body. And it is not only the characteristics that vary but also the extent of the characteristics.
Combination skin can be frustrating. Balancing oil production can leave the dryer areas of the skin flaky and sensitive and in the process of treating dryness and sensitivity, it can lead to breakouts in the T-zone. The solution lies in restoring the skins natural balance, improving hydration and protecting the skin against the onslaught of the environment!
And just like any skin type it comes down to having a regular skincare regime. I know sometimes it can be frustrating when our skin just doesn’t look it’s best but hang in there, it will!
On another note - did anyone hear KM from Moore FM last week? She has been using the Gingi Instant Eye Lift Cream and just loves it, she has been getting fabulous results and thinks it is a real hit. I was really excited to hear her comments and know that the product is as good as I think it is!
Have a fab week and I will look forward to being in touch again next week!
Ciao, Lisa
